Gemma Morgan

Gemma Morgan

Gemma Morgan is a founding partner of Pure Law Criminal Defence Solicitors and the leading Prison Law Solicitor in Wales and the West of England. Gemma heads our team of Prison Lawyers and represents clients daily in either paper reviews, Oral Hearings or Adjudications. Gemma is a longstanding member of the association of prison lawyers and has recently attending meetings with the Chief executive of the Parole Board. Gemma has practiced Prison law for in excess of 15 years and is highly experienced in all areas of Prison Law.

Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones

Nathan is a founding partner of Pure Law Criminal Defence Solicitors. Nathan has extensive advocacy experience which he applies to representing client in Oral hearings and Adjudications. His experience as an advocate along with his in depth knowledge of Prison PSI’s enables him to achieve the best possible results for his clients. Nathan has practiced prison law for in excess of a decade and has held supervisor status since 2018.

Molly Turner

Molly Turner


Molly graduated from Cardiff University with first class honours in Law in 2021. Prior to this Molly worked as a team leader on the Innocence Project assisting those wrongfully convicted through the Court of Appeal and Criminal Cases Review Commission process. Molly has excelled in her time at Pure Law Solicitors, specialising in prison law. Molly is currently in the process of completing her PSRA Qualification in order to broaden her knowledge of Criminal Law. Molly has achieved considerable success at Adjudications before the independent adjudicator. Most recently involved in a procession of acquittals and dismissals surrounding the unlawful use of a body scanner at HMP Cardiff. The repeated not guilty verdicts in these cases lead to HMP Cardiff Changing their policy on the use of body scanners to identify items concealed internally. Molly has excelled in her written representations on Parole and Recall, the depth, detail and manner in which they have been drafted has been positively commented on by legal professionals, Probation officers and Panel Chairs.

Olivia Rees

Olivia Rees

Olivia has excelled in her time at Pure Law Criminal Defence Solicitors. She has demonstrated considerable expertise in dealing with complex matters. She has successfully represented clients in adjudications, parole matters and Oral Hearings. Olivia has substantial experience in representing private clients in applications for re categorisation and home detention curfew.

Amy Morgan

Amy Morgan

Amy has been with Pure Law Criminal Defence Solicitors since its inception. She had built up a detailed knowledge base of all things prison law. She is adepts at using the PEAPOD system meaning she will always be able to update clients as to the progress of their case and deal with any queries.
